About the Event
Maya June Mansour is a multidisciplinary artist with roots in Black America, Iran, and Palestine. Her practice explores themes of healing and justice using photography, bookmaking, and mixed media. Maya is a co-founder and steward of Black Image Center, a community photography space in Los Angeles that redistributes storytelling resources from the creative and entertainment industries in Hollywood to LA’s Black residents.
